Head Bar Person 25-30 Hours Per Week

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Newton Green Golf Club for a keen and aspiring Head Barperson to join our well-established team.


Reporting to the Club Manager, this is a part-time position of 25-30 hours per week. Your main focus will be to control the bar area and lounge and to keep your team on task to provide a high level of service to members, guests and visitors.The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

  • Be a highly motivated individual, with a keen passion for the hospitality sector and a productive work ethic
  • The ability to work well in a team and as an individual
  • Show attention to detail in all tasks
  • The ability to carry out a variety of tasks requiring flexibility in a desired skill set
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management and members
  • Punctual

The position would expect you to be able to control rota’s, look after the cellar and be able to make suitable orders when necessary, with our suppliers.

Previous experience in the hospitality sector would be beneficial.

Holding a Personal Licence would also be beneficial.

Remuneration will be commensurate with the role.

Greenkeeper (Full-Time Role)

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Newton Green Golf Club for a keen and aspiring Greenkeeper to join our well-established team. Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, this is a full-time position.The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

  • Be a highly motivated individual, keen passion for greenkeeping with a productive work ethic
  • The ability to work well within a team and individually
  • Show attention to detail in all tasks, day to day maintenance carried out to the highest standard
  • The ability to carry out a variety of tasks requiring flexibility in a desired skill set
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management and members
  • Punctual

Qualifications which would be beneficial for this role would be:

  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Sport Turf
  • PA1,2 and 6 Spraying certificates
  • Chainsaw certificates in felling and cross cutting modules
  • First Aid

Previous experience as a Greenkeeper is desirable for this role but not essential.

Remuneration will be commensurate with the role.

Gardener/ Greenkeeper (Part-Time Role – 3 Days Per Week) 2 Month Contract

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Newton Green Golf Club for a keen and aspiring Gardener/Greenkeeper to be part of our team over a short summer contract.  Reporting to the Head Greenkeeper, this is a part-time position of 3 days a week / 24 hours a week, on a two
month contract. Your main focus will be the surroundings of the clubhouse with greenkeeping duties fulfilled
when needed by the Head Greenkeeper. The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

  • Be highly motivated individual, keen passion for gardening/greenkeeping with a productive work ethic
  • The ability to work well individually and as part of the team when needed
  • Show attention to detail in all tasks
  • The ability to carry out a variety of tasks requiring flexibility in a desired skill set
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management and members
  • Punctual
Previous experience as a Gardener or Greenkeeper is desirable for this role but not essential.

Remuneration will be commensurate with the role.
